Geek + runway = a runaway UK hit! Geek Girl is the first book in a hilarious, internationally bestselling series that's perfect for fans of Louise Rennison and The Princess Diaries.Harriet Manners is a geek. She always has been, and she thought she always would be—but when she's discovered by a modeling agent, she leaps at the chance to reinvent herself. There's only one problem: Harriet is the definition of awkward. Can she transform from geek to chic?

I received this book for free from the source listed above in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

The pages of GEEK GIRL are just as fun and witty as the synopsis and cover. It is a light, fluffy read with substance and a lesson to be learned. This is like that bag of chocolate you have stored in your dresser and take out when you are feeling sad and alone. Nobody, no one? Well, anyway, GEEK GIRL will make you laugh. Multiple times. If it doesn’t, I’m pretty sure you are a soulless human being. Is soulless an actual word or is it one of those fake words like irregardless?

Harriet Manners is a complete geek. She knows a wide range of useless facts she likes to sprout out at random times (which annoyed me at first because I hate know-it-alls but later came to appreciate how hilarious they were in her current situation.) Everyone stays away from her except her best friend, stalker, and family. When she gets thrown into an opportunity to change how others view her, she grabs at it. But this opportunity is made up of a web of lies and deceit, and only masks who she really is.

I love books that make me laugh. Love, love, love them. It’s so rare for me to find a laugh out loud book and I was definitely cracking up at some of these lines, it’s exactly my sense of humor.

GEEK GIRL is a light read, but has a nice message embedded in it for girls. Definitely enjoyable, I recommend this to my friends who love chick-lit and a good laugh.

I just got approved for this on netgalley (I think…). It sounds like a nice read from what you’ve said. Your review’s made me even more eager to read it :D

I want to read this book so bad! Great review and thanks for sharing the ARC quotes :) I already know from the cover that this is gonna be something fun but the quotes make it even clearer.

    Have a nice day.

It sounds good, and I’m glad you enjoyed it! I’m in desperate need for a light read right now, so I might just check it out :) (And btw, I absolutely love your new lay-out. Very clean and pretty!)

You’re really making me want to try the book again. Oddly, I couldn’t get into it. I was LOVING the synopsis and I thought it was a cute cover, but when I was reading it, I just wasn’t connecting with the MC at all…so I stopped. However, I love your review so I might try it again! :)

I saw this up on Netgalley and thought about requesting it…but didn’t…I was worried I would be too cliche. But now that I read your amazing review…I can’t wait to pick it up myself
