BLOODHOUND takes place approximately a year or so after the events of TERRIER. Beka is a fully fledged member of the Dogs but hasn’t been having too much success with partners of late. Time is not wasted on this fact however, and we a pretty quickly launched into a plot line that is faster and even better than the TERRIER’s. Read more »

I’m sitting here, flying through the second Beka Cooper book, when it occured to me that I should probably write a review for the first, TERRIER, even though I have no idea what to say. Tamora Pierce has once again created an amazing fantasy set in the beloved world of Tortall. And rereading TERRIER properly (it’s long and my attention span was horrible when I tried the first time), I am once again instilled with the need to go buy all the Tortall books I can get my hands on. THE GIRL WITH THE IRON TOUCH is going to be a hard book to review. Mainly because I love this series and characters and world so much I’m struggling to think of anything sensible to say. So many emotions are connected to this book, where old characters return and adventures ensue. And there are dire situations where you are left wondering if that character just died or not.
