Percy Jackson isn’t expecting freshman orientation to be any fun. But when a mysterious mortal acquaintance appears on campus, followed by demon cheerleaders, things quickly move from bad to diabolical.

In this latest installment of the blockbuster series, time is running out as war between the Olympians and the evil Titan lord Kronos draws near. Even the safe haven of Camp Half-Blood grows more vulnerable by the minute as Kronos’s army prepares to invade its once impenetrable borders. To stop them, Percy and his demigod friends must set out on a quest through the Labyrinth-a sprawling underground world with stunning surprises at every turn. Full of humor and heart-pounding action, this fourth book promises to be their most thrilling adventure yet.

BATTLE OF THE LABYRINTH is the fourth book in the Percy Jackson series. This one introduced a lot of new characters, motives, and locations and I found it very entertaining.

The Titan lord Kronos is rising, creating an army of others to go up against the Olympians and get revenge. His first target is Camp Half Blood, and the only entrance they can use is a secret one through the Labyrinth, a maze created by the great inventor, Daedalus. Percy, Annabeth, Tyson, and Grover are on a mission to stop Luke and Kronos from getting into Camp Half Blood and navigating the Labyrinth.

One thing I really like about this book, and series as a whole, is how there are so many subplots that weave into the main story. These books are never boring.

Annabeth finally comes to her senses about Percy, and we finally see their relationship progress romantically. It’s about time she opened her eyes and got over Luke!

Nico makes an appearance, and has a larger role in this book. I’ve got to say, his powers seem so awesome he kinda makes Percy look weak in comparison.

I really liked all the action in this one and I know the last book is going to have even more. Everyone says it is the best book out of all of them, I can’t wait to read it!

Oh, the 5th book was DEFINITELY the best! I can’t wait for you to get to read it :) I just love this series so much it hurts D: I don’t remember much now about this particular book, because I’m already at Mark of Athena, but I do remember that I was really impressed by the twists and turns it took :) Percy was amazing and funny as always, and his chemistry with Annabeth was adorbs XD I just remembered loving all 5 books. HAHA! So glad you liked it too :) And great review~

Ooh, now I am even more excited! I can’t wait to start on Riordan’s other series, like the Mark of Athena one you mentioned. His books never get old :) I hope I see more Annabeth/Percy in the last book :D Thanks!

I haven’t read the Percy books, but I saw the first movie and totally loved it! I love the world-buuilding here and the characters. I don’t know if I could sit through the books, but I am definitely looking forward to watching the second movie! I’m glad you enjoyed this, Alise! Great review! :D

Thanks! I wasn’t sure the books would be for me either but now I love them! I saw the first movie as well but I hear the second was kind of a letdown.

I’m so glad you liked Battle of The Labyrinth! The whole story about daedlous? and Athena was my favorite part. Now annebeth has control over the automatons!
Speaking of which, I think you’ll love THE LAST OLYMPIAN. I mean its one Epic battle; on ALL LEVELS! Not to mention a cool ending. (That isn’t really an ending due to THE LOST HERO)

I love Nico’s powers too! They just sound much more awesome. My favourite book is probably 5 since I’ve reread that a lot of times. I actually gave the entire box set to my cousin because it was the first books he read from my shelves that he liked (plus more excuses to get new books, lmao). :’D I think you’re gonna love book 5 when you get to it since you thought Nico’s powers seem awesome. :Db

They really do, but I like how Riordan made a character that maybe was more powerful that Percy. I really can’t wait to read the last book, then :) Aw, what a nice cousin you are, although you had ulterior motives xD
