AKA The Secret Life of a Book Blogger Tag

I was tagged by the wonderful Vane at Books with Chemistry. You can read her post here!

1. How long have you been a blogger?

I’ve been a secret agent book blogger for three years now.

2. At what point do you think you’ll stop blogging?

 never

But seriously, I don’t see myself quitting anytime soon. I’ll probably take hiatuses here and there and when I fully break into the horror of the adult world I will probably blog less but I think I will always come back to it unless something happens.

3. What is the best thing about blogging?

*heavy breathing* Books. For real though. Being able to talk about books.

4. What is the worst thing? What do you do to make to okay?

Probably the commitment and pressure. I try to take breaks.

5. How long does it take you to create/find pictures to use?

When I take my own pictures, forever. I have to get it just right.

6. Who is your book crush?

Rowan from the Throne of Glass series.

7. What author would you like to have on your blog?

The Queen, Sarah J. Maas. Although I’d be way too nervous to ever talk to her!

8. What do you wear when you write your blog posts?

horse head

I like to wear this horse head mask on the weekends, but I’ll switch it up with the giraffe version on weekdays or special occasions. You’ll never know.

But seriously, what’s with this question?

9. How long does it take you to prepare?

It takes me a really long time to write my book reviews if I haven’t taken notes beforehand. I struggle with what I am going to say and how I am going to say it so an average book review takes me about an hour or two to write.

10. How do you feel about the book blogger community?

It’s the perfect place to fangirl and talk about books.

11. What do you think one should do to get a successful blog?

Interact with your audience. Enough said.

I love your answer to #11, because I totally agree with it. Interacting with your audience – either by responding to comments or conversing through social media – often convinces readers to keep coming back and/or paying attention. That’s what I’ve learned from my blogging experience, too. :)

I can’t even talk about how many times I’ve seen that horse head. (I saw a guy wearing it on Halloween in the grocery store once. lol.) I feel the same about the picture thing. If it’s not just right, I feel like I can’t post it. Cool tag!

BAHA, that’s great. My freshman year at college I was in a biology lecture of 400 and a guy sat in the middle and he had the horse mask on. I have a picture somewhere, I was laughing so hard!

LOL! I love this tag, I think I’ll whip up a post myself! I feel the same way as you do about ‘quitting blogging’ – I can’t imagine my life without it at this point, to be honest…even though I do feel the pressure sometimes like you said. Oh, and also? HELL YESS ROWAN <3 I LOVE that you picked him :D

Ooh, yes, I tag you! :D I agree, it definitely gets hard sometimes and will probably only get harder but it’s almost a sure thing at this point. Aww yeeah ;D

Hahaha, I love your answers! Seriously, that question about the cloth… I was like wtf when I saw it. And everyone’s answers to that question were hilariously epic! Your answer is funny as well! That horse mask… xD

ROWANNNNN! Yup, nuff said, basically. I really, really like him a lot. He is basically the second best only to Celaena/Aelin, because no one could ever win over her. Aah. He’s great. JUST LIKE YOUR HORSE HEAD. *snorts with laughter endlessly* Oh golly, that was fanstic. These were some of the best answers I have ever read, Alise. Nailed it.

I think I can manage that ;) I liked Rowan since he was introduced in Heir of Fire even though I thought the books would have taken a different turn, so I’m definitely happy haha. Thanks!
