February 2018 Wrap Up

March 2, 2018 Meme 22

WHOO LAST MINUTE POST WRITING! Nothing new for our wrap up, but I’ve been extra slack recently. Thanks goodness we pretty much had all our posts scheduled fairly early on

This may change next month though because… well you’ll see.

Right so February. It’s been an interesting month. I got a job! A 100% equine job! By the time this post is up I should have signed a contract for it. The potential down side/ also exciting thing is… it’s in New Zealand. Yeah, I’m moving country. Even if the country is only a 3 hour flight away, its’ terrifying! Time will tell how this is going to affect my blogging, bookstagram, etc, etc but for now, HOLY CRAP I’M MOVING TO NEW ZEALAND THIS COMING MONTH (for at least 12 months).

Other than that, I haven’t done much. My first Dragon Age: Origins and DA2 play throughs have been completed though! That’s quite an effort. I’m also obsessed with Critical Role (and kicking myself for not getting into the first campaign when it was on because THERE IS SO MUCH)

  • RESURRECTION BAY by Emma Visckic (thanks to the team at Stella Prize)
  • SKY IN THE DEEP by Adrienne Young
  • ISLE OF BLOOD AND STONE by Makiia Lucier

Yeah I broke my requesting ban. But in my defence, I really did not expect to be approved!

Did you have a good reading month?

Thank you! It’s a gorgeous country. I can’t wait to be there (even though I’m going to FREEZE)

      Thank you!

My excuse for breaking my requesting ban is that I’m not going to be able to take many physical books with me when I move haha.

      Only 2! That’s great

Hopefully! I’m sure I’ll be sharing lots of pictures of gorgeous NZ when I get there.

I’ve heard so many amazing things about Sky in the Deep. I’m so excited to finally get to it :D

Oh wow. New job and new country. Very exciting times.
All the best with your big move and happy reading!

Thanks! The reason it’s taking me SO long to find a job is because I’ve been determined to find 100% equine vet jobs

Ahhhh congratulations, Bec! Though I can only imagine how scary and exciting it must be to be moving abroad for a year. And don’t forget to be kind to yourself during the moving process. It’s very easy to push yourself and get stressed out, so make sure you allow yourself some time to rest and decompress. :)

Thank you! I’m lucky that I have friends who live and work in the same area as the practice. It makes everything so much easier.

Congratulations, Bec! That’s so awesome. I totally get how scary it is to move far away, but it’s for the job you want, so I’m thrilled for you.

They’re pretty similar to us Australians so I won’t be into too much of a culture shock at least!
