November 2015 Wrap Up

November 30, 2015 Meme 32

nov2015

Can you believe that in just one month’s time, ONE MONTH, I’ll be twenty one! HOW CRAZY! Oh and it’ll also basically be 2016 but that’s not that big of a deal…

Alise is going into finals week so this post will be ALL ABOUT ME, BEC.  So what happened in this past November? I swear I blinked and it was over.

EXAMS ARE OVER HOORAY!! I AM FREE!! For now. I find out if I’ve passed everything in a couple of days but if I have UNLIMITED READING TIME AWAITS!

What have I been up to between the end of exams and now? Well I got to marathon the entire Throne of Glass series again and finally got to read QUEEN OF SHADOWS for the first time. That was epic. And then this past weekend I MET SARAH J MAAS AT SUPANOVA! It was like 20 seconds because the line was big and they were trying to get people through but still I MET MY CURRENT BIGGEST FAVOURITE AUTHOR SOMEBODY HOLD ME.

Sarah Signing Sarah J Mass signed books

There were so many amazing cosplays at Supanova that were great fun to look at. And the author panels (including “Creating Kick Ass Characters” and “Myths and Misconceptions”) were super interesting and entertaining. Shout out to Tiarni (my friend and housemate) for all the photos I was too lazy to take haha

I may or may not have broken my buying ban and bought three books this past month (oops). But I also got a lot of books for review and gifted from various people! I’m just going to list them because laziness haha.

Hopefully one day you can meet some authors! I’m in Australia so it’s not THAT often that international authors come here but it’d be more often than they visit you :/

Dang I REALLY MISS YOU GUYS!! *waves* just came back from the real world and I’m so glad my finals ended today. Btw, good luck Alise!! I didn’t do so well on a couple of them but finger crossed the rest of my results will be good >< And I'm super jealous of you Bec for meeting Sarah J Maas hahaha. Seriously though, nothing interesting happened in my life this November, except that yesterday we went to have our yearbook photos taken and it was so exhausting and fun at the same time because we got to dress up in bohemian styles and took photos with horses. HORSES I TELL YA HAHAHA.

It’s been a while! Welcome back to the land of the living :P

Hope your finals went well! I’m sure you’ve done great :)

      Horses are the best XD

Exam free Bec! You’ve been liberated! No doubt you’ve done fabulously well you smart cookie you, but good luck trying to get through the next few days waiting for your results. MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS! I’ll never recover from not being able to see her. I can imagine the pain is similar to losing a finger or being told chocolate no longer exists in our world. I was gutted. Did you want to stroke her hair? This is why I can’t meet famous people, the creepy touching usually equates with restraining orders.

    • Bec

I did do well! Found out yesterday that I’ve pass all of them :D Now to relax and read LAL THE THINGS.

I’m sure the opportunity to meet Sarah will present itself again eventually! Her hair is amazing. There was no time to touch it though :'(

Yay for exams being over – I have a few more weeks of school and then I graduate on December 18. It’ll be so weird to be finished with school, but I’m also really excited to not have to worry about homework and all that! I hope you did well on all of your exams, and enjoy your reading time!

I was ecstatic when I found the signatures. Only took me a week XD

I managed to survive the wait for results! And it was worth it because I passed it all :D

      Hope your thing arrives soon!

    • Bec

      Thanks!

Uni/ post high school holidays are great. So long to relax (but then it’s even harder to get back into study brain)

Aw, what a lovely sister you have!

I just started Vengeance Road, and I’m SO excited. I kind of shut my friends out at lunch so I could get twenty-two pages further. As for NaNoWriMo, I’m at 51,752 words, and I’m not even finished yet! Hopefully, I’ll wrap it up tonight during my designated writing time, 8-10 PM. Except I’ve spent a half hour online, so I only have an hour and a half remaining…not to mention dinner…and homework…Did you do NaNo?

    • Bec

YAS! I loved Vengeance Road so much.

So many words! I hope you managed to finish it :D No, I didn’t do NaNo. I haven’t written in so long, though I do kind of want to get back into it if I can find the time.

  6. Rashika

ohmigosh… baby bec will be an ADULT (I mean you’re already an adult but there is something about turning 21…) Also I honestly cannot believe that it’ll be 2016 in a month. I GO BACK TO SCHOOL ON THE FIRST DAY. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? Travelling on the first day of the new year *sigh*

I am so happy that you got to meet your fav author! ITS SUCH AN AMAZING FEELING even if its for like 20 secs.

To answer your qs: I just finished The Impostor Queen by Sarah Fine which was amazeballs. My novemeber was mediocre and full of exams. And I did NOT do NaNoWriMo but I occasionally cheered people on from the sidelines!

21 is a massive, scary number haha

      Boo school :/

IT WAS THE BEST! I hope she can come back one day so I can get the rest of my books signed and listen to a few more of her talks.

I’ve been seeing The Imposter Queen a lot lately! I’m glad to hear it’s good.

  7. Micheline @ Lunar Rainbows Reviews

YAY! You survived your exams AND you get unlimited reading now!! *throws confetti* Oh and of course, MORE YAYs for marathoning ToG AND meeting SJM :D I know what you mean, it was super quick when I met her too and I’d gotten pretty much delirious the closer I got to her but she’s one of THE BEST current authors and meeting her was everything ♥ I loved reading that you’re going to finish the Mistborn books too!! Have a wonderful December Bec^^ xxxx

Unlimited reading time is so good (though today I haven’t actually done much reading hahaha)

Just being in her presence was amazing! She’s such an awesome person.

I really hope I can find time to fit in the Mistborn books sooner rather than later! It’s been so hard avoiding spoilers haha

  8. Peach @ Rebelle Reads

Girl, no way! That’s so awesome! I’m a newly-minted twenty-one yr old, too. Are you excited? Also, congrats on finishing on your exams! Yay for book conferences! I hope to go to one when I get the chance! I’m still dying to get an ARC of The Dark Days Club myself, so I’ll be awaiting your review till then!

Happy (belated?) birthday! I’m kind of scared because it’s such a daunting concept, but excited for all the books I’ll be getting XD

I’m hoping to read Dark Days Club sometime this month and have the review up on January! It sounds like a fun read.

  9. Anissa

OMG, I AM SO JEALOUS YOU GOT TO MEET QUEEN MAAS, BEC! xD I hope she comes to London again soon so I can meet her! You guys did some great posts this November. Can’t believe it’s already December – this year has flown by! And also good luck to Alise on her exams! :D

  10. Jeann @ Happy Indulgence

Yesss the big 21 Bec! I bet you’re excited about that huge stack of books that you’re going to get! After being so good with your book buying ban and getting through your exams it’s great that you’re treating yourself with books. How massive was that SJM line! It was so exciting.

I just finished These Shallow Graves this afternoon. It was great!

      Thank you :D

    • Bec

She was lovely! I just wish we didn’t have to be rushed through the signing part (there were SO many people).

Hopefully you can meet her soon!
