World development was one of the things I was hoping for in this sequel and I’m so glad it delivered in this aspect! Exploring the culture of Venda, the lore of the world’s religions and history and how everything related to the prophecy was my favourite part of the novel. I don’t know if I’m in the mood for romance or not because I have just read two books whose main romances destroyed me. Good romance that doesn’t take over the plot, smart, badass girls, well developed world and characters, and good writing. Maybe through in some special/magical powers. That’s the formula to a fantasy Bec is sure to love.
