After an illicit meeting goes dreadfully wrong, Rachelle is forced to make a terrible choice that binds her to the very evil she had hoped to defeat.

Three years later, Rachelle has given her life to serving the realm, fighting deadly creatures in an effort to atone. When the king orders her to guard his son Armand—the man she hates most—Rachelle forces Armand to help her find the legendary sword that might save their world. As the two become unexpected allies, they uncover far-reaching conspiracies, hidden magic, and a love that may be their undoing. In a palace built on unbelievable wealth and dangerous secrets, can Rachelle discover the truth and stop the fall of endless night?

Inspired by the classic fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood, Crimson Bound is an exhilarating tale of darkness, love, and redemption.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she’s been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.

I must say that these two books sounds good. As you know, I am not a fantasy lover, but I did recently finished The Kiss of Deception and I loved it so I might read more fantasy in the future!

    Thanks for sharing!

Also, Happy New Year to you two!

I really want to read Kiss of Deception! I’ve seen so many good reviews for it. Fantasy is my favourite genre so I hope you decide to read more :D

    • Bec

I know what you mean. I NEEEED that book. Right now. I am willing to do many things to get it. May needs to hurry up.

    • Bec

CRUEL BEAUTY WAS BEAUTIFUL. It sucks I’m on a ban and can’t buy Crimson Bound for a very very long time (hopefully the library has it or something). The world needs more Sarah J Maas!

    • Bec

She’s such a great writer. I’m excited for all new books and content she comes out with in the future.

Throne of Glass gets better and better as you go along! It’s going to be an epic seris.

    • Bec

THE ASSASSIN’S BLADE OMG. Read that soon. Real soon. You get to learn so much about Celaena and SAM FEEEELS!!

      Isn’t it?!

So many people are getting ACOTAR arcs and I”M SO JEALOUS. I will take all the Maas induced feels I can get.

Cruel Beauty is SO GOOD. I wasn’t sure what I would think of it but I read it in a day or something crazy.

    • Bec

      They are very gorgeous!

Crimson Bound is a companion book to Cruel Beauty! I can’t wait to see how the stories connect.

    • Bec

All the raving makes the wait even harder! If you like fantasy you should definitely give some of Sarah J Maas’s books a try. They’re great! Same goes for Cruel Beauty XD

haha, there’s always many books and very little time to try them all.

  3. Rashika

I am SO excited to read Crimson Bound and hopefully I’ll get to do that soon! I just hope it’s as good as Cruel Beauty! :D

Alise, I had no idea A Court of Thrones and Roses was another series until quite recently and I was surprised. I may give this one a shot even though I wasn’t the biggest fan of Throne of Glass. And the fact that it’s a retelling of Beauty and the Beast!!! (or a blend) definitely tempts me.

    Fantastic picks ladies! :D

      *crosses fingers for you*

I’m glad you’re still willing to give it a try! Beauty and the Beast retellings are always my favourite.

    • Bec

I can’t wait to see how pretty Crimson Bound is in real life! That applies to both the cover and the words on the pages ;)

There’s not enough books about fey out there! Maas’s interpretation will be really interesting to read.

    • Bec

YES! Both those reasons are why I’m so excited for these two books. They can’t come out soon enough.

  4. Kelly

After reading Throne of Glass last week, I’m super excited for A Court of Thorns and Roses now too. Sarah J Maas is such an incredible storyteller, after one book and I’m completely hooked. I haven’t actually read Cruel Beauty yet, but just added it to my Goodreads pile, it sounds incredible and will grab a copy this weekend. Thanks for sharing poppet <3

I have Crimson Bound on my Kindle but I’m so afraid to read it! I loved Cruel Beauty so much I don’t want to compare them or anything. *wails* Also although I haven’t read anything by Maas, I thing ACoTaR sounds really cool!

    • Bec

Sequels are scary! There’s many I’ve put off reading for a while for similar reasons. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed though!

ACOTAR does have a really interesting premise!

  6. Chiara @ Books for a Delicate Eternity

    YES to both of these.

Although I have to admit that I haven’t read Cruel Beauty yet. EEP. I actually have no idea why not, but even so: I love the look of Crimson Bound. I just love all fairytale retellings, to be honest.

ACOTAR! Although I wasn’t the hugest fan of Throne of Glass, I have grown to love the series regardless. I think Maas’s writing is just getting better and better, and I cannot wait to see what she does with Beauty & the Beast!

    Lovely picks, girls ^.^

READ CRUEL BEAUTY, CHIARA. It’s such an interesting retelling. Plus it’s super pretty.

Throne of Glass improves with every book! As does Maas’s writing. The most exciting part about ACOTAR is that it’s not just a retelling of Beauty and the Beast, but MANY different fairy tales and FEY!!

  7. Cecilie

Crimson Bound looks even more amazing than the first one in the series! I did not know this was possible.

Looking forward to reading both of these books :)
